Dr. Jian FAN is a Chinese government awarded state expert, current Big Data Chief Scientist and former deputy CIO and CTO of China Unicom Group. Since 2013 he has led the groupwide big data and digital transformation programs including the elaboration of Bigdata and cloud strategy. He was at the origin of Smart Steps creation, a JV company between China Unicom and Telefonica. He has been also deeply involved in the mobile banking services launched jointly by China Merchant Bank and China Unicom. Currently he is leading the industrial internet program of China Unicom.
In the past years, Dr. FAN has been awarded many recognized distinctions by Chinese and international industries. In 2015, the Customer Centricity program led by him was awarded by TM Forum as the Excellence awards of service providers, and in 2018, finalist of CIO of the year.
Before joining China Unicom, Dr. FAN worked at Orange Group for more than 20 years, where he occupied successively the positions of IT Chief Architect, Business Development VP for Orange Business Services, Head of billing center of excellence, etc. < BACK TO JURYS LIST
